As we start The Quiet Pursuit, we're building from May’s focus on Sabbath and stillness. (Missed it? Read May's devotional now.) This month invites us to go deeper not by doing more, but by embracing quietness, stillness, and intentional presence. In the chaos of our schedules and distractions, God gently calls us to return. This is your invitation into The Quiet Pursuit.

The Quiet Pursuit: Sunday, June 1
Scripture: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” – Isaiah 30:15
Devotion: In the quiet, God meets us. Not in the hustle or in performance, but in stillness. June begins with an invitation: What would it look like to trust that strength comes not from striving, but from slowing down? In quietness and trust, there is renewal. Let this be a month of gentle pursuit.
Quiet Prompt: Ask God: Where do I need to slow down this month?
The Quiet Pursuit: Monday, June 2
Scripture: “Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
Devotion: Be still. These words feel like a command and a comfort all at once. God doesn’t ask us to figure it all out. He invites us to release the grip and remember who He is. Take 5 slow breaths today and remember that He holds all things together... including you.
Quiet Prompt: Take 5 minutes in silence. What do you notice in the quiet?
The Quiet Pursuit: Tuesday, June 3
Scripture: “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” – Mark 6:31
Devotion: Even Jesus withdrew. Let that sink in. The Son of God intentionally stepped away from crowds, ministry, and need to be alone with the Father. That means rest isn’t just allowed; it’s divine. Where can you step away, even for a few moments, today?
Quiet Prompt: Schedule a short break today; not to catch up, but to breathe.
The Quiet Pursuit: Wednesday, June 4
Scripture: “After the fire came a gentle whisper.” – 1 Kings 19:12
Devotion: God was not in the fire, the earthquake, or the wind; but in a whisper. That’s where Elijah found Him. The world shouts for our attention, but God often speaks softly. Are we listening? Let’s practice tuning in to the whisper, not the noise.
Quiet Prompt: Pay attention to what noises distract you. What happens when you mute them?
The Quiet Pursuit: Thursday, June 5
Scripture: “Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.” – Psalm 62:1
Devotion: Our souls find rest not when life slows down—but when we slow down within it. What does it mean to wait in silence? Not to fix, post, or prove—just to be. God is near in the silence. Today, let yourself be unhurried.
Quiet Prompt: Practice 1 minute of stillness with no background noise.
The Quiet Pursuit: Friday, June 6
Scripture: “She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.” – Luke 10:39
Devotion: Mary sat at Jesus’ feet while Martha was distracted. Both women loved Him—but only one chose presence over performance. This week, let’s choose what’s better: a quiet moment at His feet, even if everything else waits.
Quiet Prompt: What is one thing you can let go of today to sit with Jesus?
The Quiet Pursuit: Saturday, June 7
Scripture: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28–30
Devotion: Jesus doesn't offer more tasks. He offers rest for your soul. His yoke is easy because He carries the weight. Whatever burdens you today, bring them to Him—not perfectly, but honestly.
Quiet Prompt: Write down the burdens you’re carrying. Offer them to Jesus in prayer.
