June Devotional Series | Summit Christian Church Women’s Ministry
As we step into the second week of The Quiet Pursuit, our hearts are learning to slow down, trust deeper, and find God not in the noise; but in the stillness. This week centers on peace, trust, and presence; knowing that God is with us in every moment, and that stillness is sacred. If you missed week one, go and catch up!

🌿 The Quiet Pursuit | Sunday, June 8 – Resting Like a Child
Scripture: “I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother.” – Psalm 131:2
Devotion: Like a weaned child with its mother; quiet, content, resting. Psalm 131 paints a picture of deep trust. You don’t need all the answers to be at peace in God’s presence. Today, let your heart be still like that child, simply leaning into your Father.
Quiet Prompt: Visualize yourself like a child, safely resting with God. What does that image feel like?
🌿 The Quiet Pursuit | Monday, June 9 – Steady in Trust
Scripture: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” – Isaiah 26:3
Devotion: Peace isn’t the absence of chaos; it’s the presence of trust. Isaiah reminds us that God keeps us in perfect peace when we fix our minds on Him. What we focus on, we follow. Let your gaze settle on the One who never changes.
Quiet Prompt: Write down three things pulling at your attention. Offer them to God in prayer.
🌿 The Quiet Pursuit | Tuesday, June 10 – You Don’t Go Alone
Scripture: “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” – Exodus 33:14
Devotion: Moses asked for God's presence to go with him—and God responded with reassurance. Today, you don’t go alone. Even in the hard things, God is with you. Let that truth be your anchor.
Quiet Prompt: Whisper: “I am not alone.” Repeat it until your heart believes it.
🌿 The Quiet Pursuit | Wednesday, June 11 – Prayer, Not Pressure
Scripture: “Do not be anxious about anything... but in every situation, by prayer and petition… the peace of God will guard your hearts.” – Philippians 4:6-7
Devotion: We often treat prayer like a task, but what if it’s a trade? Our anxiety for His peace. Our striving for His stillness. Philippians calls us to present our requests to God, and His peace guards us in return.
Quiet Prompt: Take one anxious thought and turn it into a prayer.
🌿 The Quiet Pursuit | Thursday, June 12 – One Step at a Time
Scripture: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” – Psalm 119:105
Devotion: God’s Word is a lamp to our feet. Not a spotlight that reveals every step, but a gentle light for just the next one. If you feel lost or unsure, go back to Scripture. It doesn’t always shout, but it always guides.
Quiet Prompt: Open your Bible. What “next step” is God lighting up for you?
🌿 The Quiet Pursuit | Friday, June 13 – Lean Into Him
Scripture: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…” – Proverbs 3:5-6
Devotion: Trust isn’t passive, it’s directional. When we lean on our own understanding, we wobble. But when we lean into God, He makes our path straight. Trust today is simply choosing to follow His lead, one small step at a time.
Quiet Prompt: Where are you leaning on your own understanding? Name it, and release it.
🌿 The Quiet Pursuit | Saturday, June 14 – Before the Sun Rises
Scripture: “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up… and prayed.” – Mark 1:35
Devotion: Jesus made time for solitude, even when He was busy. Especially when He was busy. If He needed that rhythm, how much more do we? Carve out space today, even just a few minutes, to be with God.
Quiet Prompt: Set a 5-minute timer today and be alone with God. No agenda, just presence.
